Green Day Rocks Broadway!

That’s right, Broadway won’t know what hit them when Green Day’s musical American Idiot will open late April at the St. James Theatre. After premiering at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre with great feedback the musical is making huge leaps to Broadway.

The 2004 multi- platinum album won two Grammys and sold more then 12 million copies worldwide. The band teamed up with the director behind the Spring Awakening to develop this musical with Michael Mayer. The musical will feature new music from Green Day’s newest album 21st Century Breakdown.

Andy Suzuki & the Methods new release of “300 Pianos” with thirteen songs with his hit title track which was written for his father who battled Alzheimer’s disease. The song which was originally written based off the lyric “300 pianos” was originally based off of a girl, which later turned into not having 300 pianos for his father was too far gone. The musician/composer who has a hint of a R&B sound, plays the piano and guitar with band members Kozza Babuma on percussion and Jason G on Electric Violin.

The Bamboozle Festival!

Are you a Weezer fan? Do you live in the tri-state area? Well you should defiantly check out the Bamboozle Music Festival, with shows on May 1st and 2nd including different performances. The line-up includes, Drake, Kesha, Motion City Soundtrack, Paramore, MGMT and many more.

Jack and Jay!

Rumors have spread that Jack White will be teaming up to release a song with rap and hip hop icon, Jay-Z, who’s no stranger to rock collaborations. Jack explained to the Rolling Stones in January his love for hip hop exposing that The Black Album is one of the best albums of the decade. Going further to say, “I think what he’s saying in his lyrics is honest.” Jay-Z who recently released the Blue Print 3 and who is currently on tour spoke with MTV and said that for his next album he wants it to be “experimental”. It seems Hova has nothing but positive to things about Jack as well, he’s a renaissance man”.

This month Jack spoke with British GQ about his plans for “saving the music industry”. Although not confirming when the song will be released White did say that he and Jay-Z did just record a song and that it was incredible! “I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it.”

We’re still unsure when this song will release but we know one thing for certain, it’s sure to be a hit!

'Alice' Holds Top Spot!

Continuing to hold the number one spot in the box office, Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” staring Johnny Depp and Wasikowska seems to be a crowd pleaser. The classic fantasy fairy tale released on March 5th 2010 by Walt Disney Pictures ,in 3-D and Imax 3-D, has knocked out top movies like “The Green Zone”, “Shutter Island” and “Avatar”.

We checked out the “Almost Alice” soundtrack now available on ITunes which has some of our favorite artists, Plain White T’s, Avril Lavigne and Metro Station but our favorite has to be the single “The Poison” by The All American Rejects. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction!

How many of you checked out last nights Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony? The 25th annual ceremony was presented Live on Fuse at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. The Rock Hall welcomed and honored new inductees, the Swedish pop band ABBA who was inducted by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb, Iggy Pop and The Stooges were inducted by Billie Joe of Green Day, The Hollies were inducted by Steve Van Zandt, reggae legend Jimmy Cliff was inducted by Wyclef Jean and Genesis who was inducted by Trey Anastasio of Phish, among many others.

Benny of ABBA spoke to Fuse explaining “all my heroes are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, to belong to this family of musicians is a little mind blowing” on being inducted with his heroes like The Beatles and Joni Mitchell. Among the performers were The Stooges with Billie Joe, The Hollies and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and Jesse Carmichael, Faith Hill and Benny Andersson of ABBA among others hit the stage and rocked out.

If you missed the show Fuse will be showing an Encore presentation this Sunday, March 21st at 5/4c so you should all check it!
